Job summary

Foster Farms in Compton, CA, is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk to manage daily receiving and inventory activities within the SAP system, ensuring accurate entry of goods and timely transfers between the plant and third‑party warehouses.

You will update production scheduling by modifying POW files, resolve AP and inventory discrepancies, and contribute to monthly inventory reconciliation while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Minimum one year of warehousing experience.
• SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent typing accuracy and speed.
• Proficient in reading/writing English and MS Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive packing slips, verify items, check units of measure, vendor info, and signatures; resolve receipt mistakes.
• Process items in a timely manner; follow up on orders and inventory levels to meet production needs.
• Transfer goods between plant and third-party warehouse; maintain accuracy of inventory.
• Update production scheduling by modifying POW files daily; reprint and distribute updated schedules.
• Enter product deviations in SAP; assist accounts payable with issues and discrepancies.
• Ensure receivable goods are scanned into the plant in SAP and reconcile LOF reports weekly.
• Coordinate with outside auditors and maintain LOF availability for next production cycle.
