Job summary

ThyssenKrupp Materials NA is seeking an Inventory Clerk to accurately provide inventory information for company stock. The role involves monitoring and maintaining inventory at multiple branch locations and performing receiving and consolidation tasks on the warehouse floor.

You will work with heavy machinery on site, capture data in the inventory system, and support QA and Lean initiatives with a strong emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read/write English and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills for data entry into inventory system.
• Ability to use measuring tools for material inspection.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in written work and data entry.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 40 lbs.
• Certification to operate material handling equipment (forklift, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Complete material receiving activities for shipments between locations or from the mill.
• Coordinate movement of material from stock to processing to support production requirements.
• Operate material handling equipment as necessary to support movement of material.
• Perform accurate and timely data entry within the inventory management system.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate inventory identification tags.
• Complete material consolidation tasks, including supermarket.
• Identify material shortages and communicate to appropriate staff.
• Perform verification of scrap.
• Maintain a high degree of accuracy in all work.
• Assist quality assurance team in activities related to credits.
• Perform equipment preventive maintenance and clean up.
• Participate and comply with health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives.
