Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics in Walton, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated Material Handler - Inventory to maintain accurate warehouse inventory, operate MHE, and support receiving and shipping activities. This role requires basic computer skills, RF scanning, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will work a full-time schedule with varying shifts, including nights and weekends, and may earn an hourly wage ranging from $24.40 to $26.90.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 6 months experience working in a logistics/distribution/relevant environment.
• Able to operate MHE
• Must be able to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during the warmer and colder months can range from mild to moderate

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate warehouse inventory.
• Direct customer interface to answer questions and resolve issues.
• Return material coming from customer to factory.
• Transfer material to the appropriate area.
• Relocate material to keep and maintain inventory range and locations.
• Safe use of all equipment.
• Function autonomously, reporting progress and issues to supervisor/management.
• Follow company policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate records and reports to ensure inventory control and security.
• Perform safety audits and participate in daily start-up and staff meetings.
• Use PC skills for e-mail and generating reports as required.
• Review/investigate issues with inbound/outbound functions and notify management when procedures require updates.
