Job summary

Arvato, a leading global 3PL provider, seeks an experienced Inventory Control Manager for its Louisville, KY facility. You will develop and optimize an inventory management system in collaboration with operations and quality teams to support business needs.

Responsibilities include improving processes, ensuring KPI performance, and leading a team of supervisors while maintaining cost efficiency and high service levels. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with some overtime.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of operations experience within a multi-client supply chain.
• Experience in managing production, quality, and technical support areas.
• Workforce management experience in a temp labor environment.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment; automation (AS/RS) preferred.
• WMS and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and develop management staff.
• Serve as a key communication link between operations and customers for inventory-related topics.
• Monitors and ensures labor accounting across cost centers and project codes.
• Prepares OPS data as required.
• Supports Quality Management System and corrective actions.
• Oversight for Safety and engagement as required.
• Responsible for client KPIs: Inventory Control, Short Ships; Cycle Count Planning + Execution.
• Training of warehouse associates for all functional areas.
• Team Leadership: lead Inventory Control Supervisors to meet goals.
• Inventory Management: oversee metrics and audits; support customer audits.
• Process/Continuous Improvement: identify improvements to reduce costs and waste.

Arvato is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Manager to support our growing facility in the Louisville, Kentucky market. In this role, you will have the responsibility for the development of an effective inventory management system in collaboration with the operations and quality team. This includes driving continuous improvement in all areas of operation as well as monitoring and adjusting processes as needed to support the needs of the business. Your goal will be to provide the highest quality service for our customers by establishing best-in-class processes while maintaining optimal cost structures.

YOUR TASKS

• Maintain production, quality, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and develop management staff.
• Serve as a key communication link between operations and customers (internal and external) for inventory-related topics.
• KRONOS Labor Management: Monitors and ensures all frontline supervisors are accurately accounting for labor efforts in the correct cost centers and project codes.
• Prepares OPS data as required.
• Supports Quality Management System and corrective actions.
• Oversight for Safety and engagement as required.
• Responsible for client KPI’s: Inventory Control, Short Ships. Cycle Count Planning + Execution.
• Training of warehouse associates for all functional areas.
• Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of Inventory Control Supervisors, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that goals and objectives are met.
• Inventory Management: Oversight to ensure inventory control metrics are aligned and OPS functional processes are not creating errors for inventory control. Supports customer audits and physical inventory as required.
• Process/Continuous Improvement: Identifies areas for improvement within QMS processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize waste throughout the supply chain.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of operations experience within a multi-client supply chain, including developing, motivating, and leading cross-functional teams.
• Active management of production, quality, and technical support areas.
• Workforce Management experience in a temp labor environment.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced, high-volume warehouse environment
• WMS experience required, SAP preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in an operations environment with automation (ASRS) preferred
• Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Overtime and weekends when needed
• Ability to commute to: 3101 Shadeswood Avenue, Louisville, Kentucky 40219
