Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Fairburn, GA is seeking a Manager, Inventory Control to lead the Inventory Control team, enforce policies, and improve accuracy of inventory records. You will analyze discrepancies, train staff, and coordinate with management to meet company goals.

This role requires 4+ years in inventory control, proficiency with MS Office and barcode scanners, and flexibility for overtime. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Supervise the Inventory Control team members, ensuring company policies are enforced
• Maintain the integrity of inventory records while following established procedures
• Research complex transaction histories to reconcile discrepancies

• Provide leadership and training to accomplish company goals and objectives

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• 4 years of inventory control experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with computerized scanner equipment
• Availability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends

It’d be great if you also have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work or military experience
• APICS or CSCMP certifications
• 5 years of inventory control experience including slotting and unit measures
• 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience
• Ability to quickly learn and achieve proficiency in new software applications
• Solid time management and multitasking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present clean, organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audience
• Self-motivated work style with excellent analytical and math skills
• Solid attention to detail and follow-up skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
