Job summary

Saft is seeking a Materials and Inventory Manager to oversee stockroom operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and support production through kitting and material readiness.

Responsibilities include maintaining ERP records, auditing cycles, and processing Esker invoices while aligning with QAD changes. The role requires leadership of warehouse staff and strict adherence to Saft policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience supervising, stockroom management, inventory control.
  • Ability to process and clear invoices in Esker and adjust amounts in QAD.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels across stockroom and material locations.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are recorded in ERP systems.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs (accuracy, variance trends).
  • Supervise warehouse personnel and schedule staffing and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental, environmental, and ISO regulations and Saft policies.
  • Process invoices in Esker and verify material received and amounts adjusted for Esker changes and QAD modifications.
  • Support Saft business needs and participate in Autonomous Team Development programs.
  • Perform backup duties as needed for logistics personnel.
  • Complete additional tasks as requested by supervision.

Job description

The Materials and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing all materials and stockroom operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, supporting production through kitting and material readiness, and maintaining compliance with cycle count and annual physical inventory requirements. This role ensures inventory accuracy, process discipline, and audit readiness across all assigned areas. This role will include the processing of invoices thru Esker and valdation of invoices.

Academic background

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field preffered, OR equivelent work experience

Experience

Supervision, receiving documentation, stockroom management, inventory control

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels across all stockroom and material locations.
  • Ensure all inventory transactions are recorded accurately in ERP systems.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Monitor inventory KPIs (accuracy %, variance trends, repeat discrepancies).
  • Supervise and direct all warehouse personnel/material handlers. Schedluing personnel and equipment in the most efficent manner.
  • Perform departmental reviews of governmental, environmental, and ISO regulations and other legal requirement , as well as Saft policies and procedures.
  • Process and clear invoices in a timely manner in Esker, Ensuring materail is recived and amounts adjusted as needed for Esker changes and modifcations in QAD.
  • Perform all needed functions in support of Saft Bussiness needs and activitly participate in Autonomous Team Development programs

  • Perform backup duties as needed/requested in absence of other Logistics personnel.
  • Complete additional task and programs as needed or requested by supervision.
