Responsibilities

• Assist in monitoring department performance and seek improvements to procedures.
• Drive for shortest processing time on received material and suggest recovery methods.
• Ensure tools, equipment, and visual aids are up to date and functional.
• Provide feedback to Inventory Control and Quality departments and assist with scheduling issues.
• Interface with plant supervisors, engineering, program management and other functions.
• Maintain accurate records for shipping, receiving and stockroom documents.
• Verify aging of material in receiving and shipping locations and accuracy of materials.
• Ensure production line receives correct parts for manufacturing.
• Ensure material is stocked promptly and accurately.
• Eliminate errors impacting quality, budget and department efficiency.
• Identify performance issues and strengths for Inventory Control supervisors.
• Follow safety, health, and security rules and perform other duties as assigned.
