Job summary

Elanders USA LLC in Acworth, GA seeks an Inventory Control Lead to oversee inventory movement and accuracy. You will operate lift equipment including reach trucks, walkie-riders, and forklifts, audit locations, and prepare items for shipment.

Strong attention to detail and forklift certification are required. You will work with various internal customers, perform cycle counts, and document inventory in the WMS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or higher.
• 3-5 years of inventory, order picking and warehouse experience.
• Forklift operating experience and forklift certification.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with computer systems.
• Strong communication skills and physical stamina for long shifts.
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and bills of lading.
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management System (WMS) and related databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned personnel on shift to meet productivity and efficiency targets.
• Conduct accuracy/quality audits by verifying product quantity/quality.
• Perform and support all job requirements as directed by supervisor and/or manager.
• Safe operation and maintenance of powered inventory handling equipment.
• Accurately pick and post inventory from warehouse locations.
• Accurately return inventory and post to proper unit IDs from recon.
• Support other operational departments as needed.
• Operate PC and navigate WMS to manage inventory records.
• Perform cycle counts, investigate discrepancies, and update transactions.

DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY

Inventory Control Lead is responsible for the accuracy and movement of inventory throughout the facility. The Inventory Control Lead uses and is certified to operate lift equipment such as reach trucks, walkie-riders, stock pickers, scissor lifts, and forklifts. The Inventory Lead works in concert with various internal customers to ensure the timeliness of the inventory movements they perform. This position will also audit inventory locations for count and unit type accuracy as needed and verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead assigned personnel on shift to meet productivity and efficiency targets
• Conduct accuracy/quality audits by verifying product quantity/quality
• Perform and support all job requirements as directed by supervisor and/or manager
• Safe Operation and operator maintenance of the powered inventory handling equipment at Elanders.
• Accurately picks and posts inventory from warehouse locations.
• Accurately returns inventory and posts to the proper unit ID from recon.
• Supports the other operational departments in any capacity when needed.
• Must be able to operate a PC and understand how to navigate inside of the WMS.
• Performs cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, and updates transactions in Inventory Management System.
• Complies with all safety and health policies, procedures, and practices; actively supports safety improvement initiatives; uses materials and equipment in an appropriate and safe manner; carries out all tasks in a manner so as to not create a hazard to oneself or others.
• Supports organizational goals and values.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma/GED or higher degree
• 3-5 years of related inventory, order picking and warehouse experience
• Forklift operating experience
• Forklift Certification

• Attention to detail is a must
• Sufficient computer knowledge
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 10 hours per day
• Knowledge of basic math, counting and estimating
• Proven ability to learn control systems & databases
• Ability to read and write bills of lading, invoices, shipping lists, etc.
• Ability to intermittently crawl, squat, climb, twist, bend, stoop, push or pull
