Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Michigan is seeking a First Shift Inventory Control associate. You will verify and reconcile inventories across customers, suppliers, and DHL, and support cycle counts using SAP and related tools.

The role requires basic computer skills, ability to handle small parts, and 1–3 years warehousing experience with inventory systems. Excellent training and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–3 years warehousing experience; barcode systems preferred.
• Experience with cycle counts and inventory control.
• Knowledge of inventory systems and Topex.
• Working knowledge of SAP inventory.

Responsibilities

• Verify and reconcile inventories for customer, suppliers and DHL.
• Complete physical inventories and analyze reports.
• Interface between customer support, suppliers and management on inventory issues.
• Reconcile data in customer’s system and WM system.
• Analyze data and perform root cause analysis using Excel.
• Monitor SAP in-transit data for finance reporting.
• Maintain cycle count data for management reports.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies; coordinate with stakeholders.

Role Purpose

Verify and reconcile inventories of the customer, their suppliers, and of DHL. Complete physical inventories and compile/analyze reports. Act as an interface between customer support, suppliers and customer management on inventory issues for resolution.

Key Accountabilities

• Reconcile and data entry into customer’s system of record and the WM System.
• Analyze data and transactions for root cause analysis using excel spreadsheets.
• Monitor and key data for several in-transit buckets within SAP for finance department reporting.
• Compile and maintain cycle count data for management reports to customer.
• Monitor failed transactions and physically reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate between customer support, suppliers and customer on inventory issues for resolution.
• Investigate any/all shrinkage of inventory and advise departmental manager.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 1-3 years Warehousing experience; preferably with barcode system
• Working experience with cycle count and inventory control
• Knowledge of and experience with inventory systems and/or Topex
• Working knowledge of SAP inventory
