Job summary

Atkore is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator for our Eugene, OR facility. You will manage raw material and finished goods inventories to meet distribution demands, reporting to the Plant Manager. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in inventory control and familiarity with lean principles.

Who we are looking for:

We are searching for an Inventory Control Coordinator to be based out of our Eugene, OR manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will be responsible for managing raw material and finished goods inventory to meet distribution demands. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience managing an inventory control program. Experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.

What you’ll do:
  • Administrate inventory cycle counts (daily/monthly/annually) and enter adjustments intosystem. Develop andmaintainSOPs for inventory control processes.
  • Receive and issue finished goods into a computer database.
  • Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and inspection personnelutilizinginventory movement reports in JDE, actual receipts, physicalcountsand shipping packing slips to investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare cycle countreportsandmaintainspreadsheetsto trackreconciled vs.non reconciledcycle counts.Utilizethe documentation tofacilitatethe cycle count process.
  • Participate in physical inventoryactivitieswhichincludescreating cycle counts in JDE, communicating details withthe shipping department,andprocessing inventoryadjustmentsas necessary.
  • Administrate plant rawmaterialsend-of-month physical inventory, including performing cycle counts for reconciling variances in raw materials weekly as part of month end reporting in JDE.
  • Manage raw material additives and resin purchases and inventories and serve as main point of contact for all material stock items,schedulesdeliveries for raw material purchases and ensure readily available supply of materials to meet production needs.
  • Gather and enter data for the Recycled Usage report.
  • Coordinate vendor communicationregardingraw material deliveries.Analyze inventory data toensuretheplant does not run out of raw materials, resin, wood, gaskets, etc.
  • Reconcile all daily and weekly cycle counts offinished goodsbased on the final determinations including any approved variances withinpercentageand dollar maximums.
  • Perform inventory sub-ledger responsibilitiesincluding reconcilingthe Inventory Control subledger to the General Ledgertoidentifyvariances.
What you’ll bring:
  • Minimum5years of inventory control experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, supply chain preferred; High school diplomarequired
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control software, i.e., JDE, Sagerequired
  • Experience and knowledge of Lean Daily Management principles preferred
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlookrequired
  • Ability to grasp and understand business concepts and issues
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Good understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, timemanagementand organization

Benefits are subject to vesting and eligibility requirements.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $47,200 - $64,900.Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time. Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
