Vanguard EMS, Inc. in Beaverton, OR, is seeking an Inventory Control Coordinator to oversee receiving and stockroom operations, ensure inventory accuracy, and support on-time production commitments.

You will plan daily work, maintain organized areas, reconcile stock, and collaborate with production teams to meet schedules while adhering to ISO 9001/13485, GMP, and ITAR in a lean environment. Experience with MRP systems and barcoding is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years stockroom management in manufacturing.
• Experience automating stockroom functions (e.g., barcoding).

Responsabilidades

• Update Excel-based schedules and ensure timely kit delivery.
• Motivate team to improve areas and processes.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized areas and equipment.
• Interface with other areas to meet delivery schedules.
• Reconcile inventory and perform cycle counts.
• Maintain physical inventory accuracy and report transactions.
• Operate materials control to meet audit requirements in a Lean environment.
• Communicate effectively with production, staff and customers.
• Implement processes and training to meet business needs.

The Inventory Control Coordinator works directly with the department supervisor/manager to manage and direct the receiving and stockroom areas to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure satisfaction of manufacturing and customer commitments and goals.

What you'll do:

• Directly manage the receiving and stockroom areas
• Strategize daily work schedules for the areas and establish daily goals
• Update Excel-based schedules and consistently deliver quality kits to production on schedule
• Motivate team to create positive team work environment and improve areas/processes
• Maintain clean, safe and highly organized, clutter-free areas and maintain equipment in good condition
• Interface with other areas to meet delivery schedules and attend NPI meetings
• Reconcile inventory, research, material picking and put-away, cycle count, computer inventory transactions, and receiving
• Maintain accurate physical inventory, including monitoring of cycle counts and material transactions
• Operate/maintain materials control system to meet Class a MRP, ISO 9001/13485, GMP, and ITAR audit requirements in a Lean environment
• Maintain excellent communication with production teams, staff organizations, and customers
• Implement processes, organizations, resources, training, and management controls to meet business requirements and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you'll need:

• Intermediate proficiency in computer systems, including MRP and Microsoft Office products
• High-level critical thinking, analysis, and organization.
• Knowledge of material management concepts and practices required, including stocking programs, Lean, traffic/transportation procedures, cycle counting, shelf life requirements, and MRP systems
• Self-motivation, problem solving abilities, team spirit and a "hands on" mentality
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Communicate in person, over the phone, email, internet or in writing in a positive, professional manner

Education And/or Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
• 3-5 years of stockroom management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with automating stockroom functions (i.e. barcoding)

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing, electronics components, and packaging
• Experience with Lean programs
• ISO 9001/13485 familiarity
• APICS certification or other related degree
