Inventory Control Clerk Lead - 2nd Shift
Job Purpose: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for conducting cycle counts and bin location audits, assisting in researching and reconciling inventory discrepancies, and working with the Inventory Supervisor/Manager on inventory-related functions concerning materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts in stockrooms, warehouses, or yards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform physical counts of inventory items to maintain accuracy.
- Count and reconcile selected part numbers and locations daily.
- Input inventory data accurately to ensure integrity.
- Complete documentation thoroughly, accurately, and on time.
- Trace item history to identify causes of discrepancies and recommend remedial actions.
- Operate motorized equipment such as Order Pickers, Sit-Down Forklifts, and Stand-Up Reach Trucks.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Additional Responsibilities
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with inventory processes, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Physically count articles or products on shelves, racks, and pallets.
- Use computer terminals to manage inventory issues, returns, and documentation.
Qualifications
- 1-3 months of related experience and/or training in Inventory Control.
- 1-3 months of related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment.
- Experience operating forklifts and cherry pickers/high lifts.
- Experience with WMS software (Synapse preferred) is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Access Database.
Education And/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
- Ability to read and write emails.
- Ability to physically count items on shelves and pallets.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
