Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Distribution Center Inventory Control professional in Buford, GA to maintain inventory accuracy and support efficient operations. You will perform audits, cycle counts, and adjustments to ensure precise stock levels across receiving, stocking, and distribution processes.

Responsibilities include resolving discrepancies, operating warehouse systems, and maintaining safe work practices while supporting overall inventory performance and operational metrics.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately match numerical and alphabetical information.
• Follows established operational, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain safe work environment, including lifting, moving, and handling merchandise.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory research and reconciliation processes.
• Willingness to learn warehouse systems, RF technology, and operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform order adjustments, repicks, inventory transfers, and quantity corrections to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Monitor, research, and resolve allocation, receiving, stocking, and inventory discrepancies in WMS and Orders programs.
• Research and correct item number, location, receiving, and keying errors by comparing physical inventory against system inventory.
• Conduct daily audits of outbound parcels, inbound license plates, damage locations, and warehouse inventory.
• Perform cycle counts and monthly critical supply inventories following established procedures.
• Process and reconcile stray parts and relabel/changeover projects; manage factory stock adjustments and recalls.
• Perform slotting assignments with accurate rule sets, locations, and product weights.
• Locate missing freight and resolve Not Expected and Max Quantity Receive errors.
• Make inventory corrections and batch receipt adjustments in WMS.
• Communicate discrepancies and issues to leadership teams.
• Request repairs of RF units and other equipment to ensure workflow continuity.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas following safety procedures.
