Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an inventory control operative to maintain distribution center accuracy and support efficient operations. You will research discrepancies, perform audits, cycle counts, and process adjustments to ensure reliable inventory data across receiving, stocking, and distribution.

You will work with RF devices and WMS tools to resolve issues, coordinate with teams, and uphold safety and quality standards while supporting ongoing operational performance.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately match numerical and alphabetical information.
• Follow established operational, safety, and quality procedures.
• Maintain safe work environment and handle merchandise safely.
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tasks.
• Willingness to learn warehouse systems and RF technology.

Responsibilities

• Perform order adjustments, repicks, transfers, and corrections to maintain accuracy.
• Monitor and resolve allocation, receiving, stocking, and inventory discrepancies in WMS and Orders programs.
• Research and correct item numbers, locations, and receiving errors using system vs. physical counts.
• Conduct daily audits of outbound parcels, inbound license plates, damage locations, and inventory to verify accuracy.
• Perform cycle counts and monthly inventory verifications following procedures.
• Process and reconcile stray parts and relabel/changeover projects.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate with leadership on discrepancies.
