Your Role

Inventory Control Clerk

Work Location: Manor, Texas

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, possible daily and weekend overtime depending on customer needs. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

As an Inventory Control Clerk with us, you'll be hands-on, with a heavy emphasis on leading inventory and tool management activities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Essential Functions

  • Handle all aspects of inventory movement of materials and tools, including stocking, re-stocking, and accounting for every item in the warehouse.
  • Compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand.
  • Participate in monthly and year-end inventory cycle counts, and resolve inventory reconciliation issues.
  • Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with the Division’s General Manager.
  • Track the transportation and distribution of tool and material inventory.
  • Oversee the records of all stocks and compile evaluation reports. Conduct daily audits of inventory.
  • Coordinate inventory requirements and procurement details with vendors and customers.
  • Account for inventory surplus, product/tool returns, and any damages.
  • Replenish stock in the warehouse and fill order forms.
  • Ensure all employees and visitors entering the warehouse are wearing the proper safety equipment and security badges at all times.
  • Work in conjunction with all staff to ensure readiness for any inspection or audit.

What We’d Like to See from You

Required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & listening) and interpersonal skills needed to interface with and influence all levels of personnel.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday assigned schedule, with occasional required weekends and overtime.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize daily work and meet all internal and external deadlines.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 75 pounds and lift up to 50 pounds.

Highly Desired

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a transportation, warehousing, and/or distribution environment.
  • Experience using a forklift and pallet jacks.
