Newly Weds Foods in Mount Pleasant, TX, seeks an Inventory Control Clerk to assist the Inventory Coordinator in managing all inventory items. The role is on the 1st shift and open date is 2026-09-04 with a close date of 2026-09-11 at 8am.

Primary duties include daily inventory adjustments, monthly inventory balancing, cycle counts, and month-end reconciliation. Requires a HS diploma or GED and at least one year in purchasing or inventory control, plus strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Adobe applications, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ year purchasing/inventory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily inventory adjustments.
• Assist in balancing monthly inventories.
• Assist in cycle counts of ingredients and packaging in the plant.
• Assist with month-end inventory reconciliation processes.
• Verify received ingredients for item number, amount, QC approval and pricing.
• Prepare purchase orders for procurement of material.
• Organize, file and maintain inventory documentation.
• Support office duties such as letters, shredding and file organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for assisting the Inventory Coordinator in managing all inventory items.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain Daily Inventory Adjustments.


• Assist in balancing monthly inventories.


• Assist in cycle counts of ingredients and packaging in the plant.


• Assist with all month-end inventory reconciliation processes.


• Verify received ingredients (correct item number, amount, QC approval and pricing).


• Compile information and records to prepare purchase orders for procurement of material.


• Organize, file, and maintain inventory documentation.


• Conduct office support functions such as preparing certified letters, shredding and securely storing prior year files.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.


• Minimum of one-year experience in purchasing, inventory control, or related discipline.


• Strong communication, interpersonal skills and general knowledge in Adobe applications, Microsoft Office and Lotus Notes.
