Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. is seeking a warehouse associate in Denton, TX to handle replenishing, receiving, inspecting and accounting for plant materials. Inter-company shipments may be required; role emphasizes product safety, legality and quality.

The selected candidate will replenish ingredients and supplies, inspect incoming shipments, store and rotate items, perform weekly inventories, and ensure clean, organized work areas while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• One or more years experience in shipping/receiving operations.

Responsibilities

• Replenishes all required ingredients, wrapping and labeling supplies, and miscellaneous items.
• Receives and inspects all incoming shipments for damaged or unsanitary merchandise and refuses or returns such items.
• Properly stores and rotates production supplies.
• Performs inventory of supplies on weekly basis.
• Arranges for inter-company shipment(s) of materials to other plants.
• Delivers some supplies throughout plant.
• Completes daily/weekly administrative paperwork.
• Ensures that work area is clean and organized (like items together and in designated areas).
• Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)

Bringing Home the Dough

Responsible for replenishing, receiving, inspecting and accounting for all material used in plant. Also makes inter-company shipments when necessary. Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities
