Job summary

Hayes Company/Knight Swift Warehousing and Fulfillment is seeking an Inventory Control I to join our Forney, TX warehouse team. The position focuses on accurate counting, updating records, and ensuring inventory availability through daily reconciliation and data entry in our warehouse software.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math skills, with prior warehouse experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior inventory/warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate inventory records: receiving, counting, recording incoming and outgoing products.
• Auditing loads: verify quantity, quality, and condition of shipments.
• Investigating and reporting damage and resolving issues with appropriate parties.
• Keeping track of stock levels and reordering as necessary.
• Operating equipment: scanners, pallet jacks, and forklifts as needed.
• Communicating with purchasing, shipping, and receiving to ensure accuracy.
• Ensuring compliance with policies and inventory management procedures.
• Maintaining and updating inventory management software records.
• Participating in physical inventory counts and audits.
• Proactively assisting others to achieve organizational objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
