Job summary

Hayes Company/Knight Swift Warehousing and Fulfillment in Forney, Texas is seeking an Inventory Control I to track and manage warehouse inventory. The role involves counts, updating records, and assisting with stocking to ensure accuracy and availability.

You will use barcode scanners and inventory software, conduct audits, report damages, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with purchasing, shipping, and receiving.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in inventory or warehouse work preferred.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with inventory software is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate inventory records: receive, count, and record incoming and outgoing products and materials.
• Auditing loads: verify quantity, quality, and condition of shipments.
• Investigating and reporting damage: identify issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Keeping track of stock levels: monitor, identify discrepancies, and reorder as needed.
• Operating equipment: use hand-held scanners, forklifts, and other tools as required.
• Communicating with other departments: coordinate with purchasing, shipping, and receiving.
• Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures for inventory management.
• Keeping inventory management software up to date and generating reports.
• Participating in physical inventory counts.
• Supporting teammates to achieve organizational objectives.
