Job summary

Navistar International is seeking an Inventory Control Associate at our San Antonio Manufacturing Plant to monitor warehouse inventory, perform cycle counts, and ensure accuracy across system reports.

The role requires attention to detail, experience with warehouse management software, and ability to work in a team under deadlines. Qualifications include an associate degree and 1–2 years of material management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct reviews and assessments, utilizing software to evaluate product inventories, measuring and weighing products, maintaining records, opening and re‑packaging shipments, organizing products according to protocols, locating lost goods, and reporting inconsistent or damaged goods.
  • Cycle count materials based on the "ABC" grouping system.
  • Research inventory discrepancies and submit accurate inventory and bin location reports.
  • Perform clerical and support tasks to ensure that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Investigate inventory overages/shortages, cycle count discrepancies, and locate missing inventory.
  • Analyze and verify inventory audit counts for established cycle count parameters and unscheduled requests.
  • Perform a variety of complex problem‑solving and/or analytical activities in support of resolving inventory variances, document findings and report any deviations.
  • Analyze and perform accurate resolution to inventory variances using related system records (receipts, purchase orders, manufacturing work orders, production transactions, and customer maintenance records).
  • Maintain documentation for scheduled audits for reporting and review by management, as well as internal and external auditors.
  • Assist in determining root causes on inventory discrepancies and help implement corrective actions to eliminate repetitive errors.

Position Overview

Navistar's San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to join our materials team! The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for monitoring warehouse/plant inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified and reflect the systematic reported inventory. The Inventory Control Associate will maintain inventory accuracy through proper counting, processing of material reports and transfers. The Navistar San Antonio Manufacturing Plant is a benchmark facility that builds leading‑edge commercial vehicles to meet the needs of today’s – and tomorrow’s – customers. By using proven engineering and leading technology and manufacturing principles, Navistar takes mobility and transport to a new level of impact. This facility has the flexibility to build Class 6-8 trucks along with Electric Vehicles that allow Navistar to add capacity to support anticipated industry growth. Using the Internet of Things (IoT) and connected manufacturing principles, Navistar's newest manufacturing facility will continue growing our market share gains, optimizing our supplier network and improving quality.
