Job summary

Staffmark Group in Portland, OR is seeking an Inventory Control Associate to maintain accurate stock levels and support production demand. The role focuses on cycle counts, purchasing, material planning, and ERP system interactions.

Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory control, procurement, ERP/WMS systems preferred.

  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sage ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels to support production and customer demand while preventing excess stock.
  • Enter and maintain purchase orders for materials and supplies.
  • Review invoices and accounting documentation for accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory transactions and maintain accurate records within Sage ERP.
  • Conduct daily cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Assist with raw material planning and forecasting, generating reports to improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and vendors to ensure material availability.

Location: Portland, OR

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible)

Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Additional training in supply chain, logistics, business, or related field preferred
Experience Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, materials management, procurement, or a related field
  • Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience working with ERP/WMS systems, preferably SAGE ERP
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on Excel
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Job Duties
  • Manage inventory levels to support production and customer demand while preventing excess stock

  • Conduct daily cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities
  • Assist with raw material planning and inventory forecasting
  • Generate inventory, purchasing, and progress reports
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
  • Train and support employees on inventory control procedures and best practices
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure material availability
  • Analyze inventory data and provide recommendations to improve efficiency and accuracy
Physical Capabilities
  • Lift up to 50 pounds as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Frequent computer use, data entry, and prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
