Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking an Inventory Control Analyst to coordinate cycle counts, monitor inventory accuracy, and support continuous improvement in material handling.

You will partner with warehouse leadership, analyze data across SAP and related systems, and develop practical reports and spreadsheets to drive timely, data‑driven decisions in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of manufacturing or distribution experience.
• Strong analytical, root-cause and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; working knowledge of databases.
• Experience with SAP or other MRP/ERP systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily cycle count activities and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare daily inventory accuracy reports and SAP movements.
• Route, complete, and file inventory adjustment records.
• Analyze inventory data to identify root causes and improvements.
• Partner with warehouse manager to resolve issues.
• Maintain organization and prioritize tasks in a high-volume environment.
• Clearly define issues and drive timely resolutions.
• Analyze and manipulate data for reporting.
• Develop and update spreadsheets from multiple data sources.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily cycle count activities and investigates inventory discrepancies and bin maintenance errors.
• Prepares daily reports on inventory accuracy, SAP material movements, and related errors.
• Routes, completes, and files inventory adjustment records.
• Analyzes inventory records to identify root causes and support continuous improvement in material handling and inventory movement processes.
• Partners with the warehouse manager to review and resolve inventory issues.
• Maintains strong organization and time management to manage priorities effectively.
• Clearly defines issues and drives them to timely resolution.
• Analyzes and manipulates data for reporting and identification of inventory concerns.
• Develops and updates spreadsheets using multiple data sources.

Skills / Competencies

• Experience with Cycle Counts desired.
• Strong Analytical, Root Analysis and Problem solving Skills required.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a working knowledge of advanced systems and basic database relationships.
• Experience with SAP or other MRP / ERP system a plus.
• Computer literacy is required with a familiarity with MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word.

• Demonstrated understanding of root cause and corrective action tools/methods.
