Job summary

Princeton Community Hospital seeks an Inventory Control Analyst to optimize materials flow and drive cost-efficient purchasing. You’ll collaborate with Procurement, manage perpetual counts, par levels, and reorder methods, and generate analytical reports to improve stock availability hospital-wide.

Required experience in healthcare supply chains, proficiency with Lawson/Crystal systems, and strong teamwork skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or related field and 6 months of experience, or HS diploma with 2 years of experience.
  • Valid Driver’s license.
  • CMRP certification is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business is preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare supply chain is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages efficient acquisition systems for Materials Handling (MH).
  • Maintains perpetual inventory counts and inventory locator systems for easy retrieval.
  • Develops and maintains reorder management systems with par levels and min/max parameters.
  • Develops materials cost and inventory reduction programs and provides data to measure progress towards cost reduction targets.
  • Develops and analyzes reports (ABC analysis, usage history) to target efforts to maximize inventory efficiencies.
  • Conducts year-end physical inventory and other periodic inventory counts as necessary.
  • Provides inventory management expertise hospital-wide.
  • Assures daily operational needs for supplies and equipment are met.

In conjunction with Procurement, develops and manages efficient acquisition systems for items managed by Materials Handling (MH). 2. Develops and maintains systems which assure the accuracy of perpetual inventory counts and inventory locator systems to facilitate easy retrieval for all items. 3. Develops and maintains reorder management systems (to include the application of par levels and min/max parameters) to assure a high level of customer service while minimizing inventory levels. 4. Develops materials cost and inventory reduction programs and provides data to measure progress towards cost reduction targets. 5. Develops and analyzes reports (i.e., ABC analysis, usage history, etc.) to target efforts to maximize inventory efficiencies 6. Conducts the year-end physical inventory and other periodic inventory counts as necessary. 7. Develops and maintains performance standards for materials systems. 8. Provides inventory management expertise hospital-wide. 9. Assures that the daily operational needs for supplies and equipment are met. 10. Ascertains daily order requirements through Lawson recommendations, physical counts, and personal observation. 11. Has budgetary signature authority and places orders for needed items on a daily basis. 12. Serves as a member of the buying team for items managed by MH to coordinate with Procurement, vendors, and hospital to make purchasing decisions for special situations (product back orders, urgent/emergent needs, unusual patient requirements, etc. 13. Coordinates special deliveries from vendors or borrowing from other hospitals for items which are in short supply for any reason (back orders, usage spikes, unique patient specific needs, etc.). 14. Maintains competencies and serves as back up in the absence of other Materials Management Inventory Control Analysts. 15. Assists the director in developing and monitoring budget cost centers as assigned by the director. 16. Maintains proficiency in the use of Lawson/Crystal and coordinates with the Application System Analyst to assure that the Lawson database is maintained in a current and accurate manner. 17. Maintains necessary accounting knowledge and coordinates with Finance to assure that all necessary financial matters handled appropriately (perpetual inventory reconciliation, Lawson/GL interface, manual billings, etc. 18. Provides reports through Lawson, Crystal or electronic spreadsheets as requested. 19. Assists in training other personnel (Materials Handling Attendants, Inventory Control Analysts, etc.) with respect to inventory management and other related Lawson functions. 20.
