Job summary

Tempur Sealy International is hiring an Accountant, Inventory Control in Lexington, KY to analyze financial information and prepare entries to general ledger accounts. You will download stock variance reports and work with cross-functional teams to reconcile inventory variances and intercompany balances.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred) and strong analytical, communication, and process-improvement skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university (strongly preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
• CPA license or candidate preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze financial information and prepare entries to general ledger accounts.

Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger accounts.
• Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities and expenses and assist in preparing the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Download and compile daily stock variance reports for review by the Inventory Control team.
• Partner with Cross-Campus Accounting teams to reconcile all inventory variances.
• Process manual inventory transactions not completed via integration with the 3PL Network when warranted.
• Work with Tempur Production facilities to reconcile intercompany balances for inventory purchases.
• Perform account reconciliations and participate in cycle count audits and physical inventories.
• Prepare documentation to assist internal and external auditors.
