Job description

Inventory Clerk/Stocker at CBC Yellow (Sales)

Summary

This position is responsible for ensuring that the Inventory Room is properly and adequately stocked. The Inventory Clerk works with the Inventory Management Team and Store Management to ensure that incoming products are receipted and managed according to company procedures, materials are ready and available for sale, and inventory accuracy is maintained.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Conduct inventory replenishment in the Inventory Room throughout the scheduled shift.
  2. Merchandise store displays and assist with stocking and merchandising in the sales area as needed.
  3. Maintain organization of the stock room, including condensing large bins to sell older products first and bundling products for easier counts.
  4. Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly inventory counts.
  5. Assist with inventory management using the company's established procedures and notify management of discrepancies.
  6. Verify that products are priced appropriately.
  7. Ensure all incoming products meet applicable regulations.
  8. Assist with entering and reconciling product invoices into the POS system.
  9. Perform additional administrative and field duties as required to support customer service and team well-being.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Passion for and knowledge of Cannabis and Cannabis Products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of WAC and other applicable laws and regulations.
  • At least 1 year of inventory experience.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Customer service and Cannabis retail experience.

Skills

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, journals, procedures, and regulations.
  • Effective communication skills to present information and respond to questions.
  • Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations and interpret graphs.
  • Strong reasoning skills to define problems, collect data, and interpret instructions.

Certificates and Background Checks

This is a sensitive position requiring a pre-employment criminal background check.

Additional Skills

  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to develop good working relationships with staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and communicate effectively.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, and lift at least 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

Retail store environment with noise levels from quiet to moderate.
