Johnson Service Group is seeking an expeditor for Swing Shift to support supply and inventory in a fast-paced production environment. The role focuses on material flow, rack utilization, and inventory accuracy.

It is a contract position eligible to convert to full time based on performance and requires strong Excel skills and MS Office experience. Typical shift is 3:45 PM–12:15 AM with a hourly rate of $23.50.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or material coordination is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic data tracking and reporting skills; MS Office and Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Perform rack inventory counts at start, mid, and end of shift to track availability by model.
• Maintain accurate rack quantity records and report discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure production lines are fully utilized to support production requirements.
• Coordinate with production and planning teams to address shortages, imbalances or flow issues.
• Monitor rack movement and placement to ensure proper allocation across areas.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and rack utilization.
• Communicate status updates and escalating issues to supervisors in a timely manner.

Job Summary

The Expeditor is responsible for ensuring material flow and inventory accuracy across production areas. This role supports operational efficiency by monitoring rack availability, maintaining optimal utilization of key resources, and performing regular inventory counts throughout the shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rack inventory counts in each designated area at the start of shift, mid-shift, and end of shift (three counts per shift) to track availability by model.
• Maintain accurate records of rack quantities and report discrepancies promptly.
• Ensure production lines are consistently and fully utilized to support production requirements.
• Coordinate with production and planning teams to address shortages, imbalances, or flow issues.
• Monitor rack movement and placement to ensure proper allocation across areas.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material flow and rack utilization.
• Communicate status updates and escalating issues to supervisors in a timely manner.
