Job summary

Trident Seafoods in Alaska is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate counts and locations in dry or freezer warehouses. You will operate a Standup Forklift and Cherry Picker and perform data entry to support inventory tracking systems.

Experience with audits and database updates is desirable. This role requires attention to detail, reliable data handling, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work with supervisors and teams to improve inventory processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in a warehouse environment.
• Minimum 1 year operating a standup forklift.
• Minimum 2 years data entry experience.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Fast and accurate data entry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Solid understanding of databases.
• Organizational and time-management skills.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Completes cycle counts and corrects inventory when needed.
• Communicates inventory errors to the Warehouse Supervisor.
• Helps management troubleshoot inventory discrepancies.
• Assists with periodic physical inventory audits.
• Operates forklifts when necessary.
• Helps improve upon inventory management procedures.
• Cross trains and helps in receiving as needed.
• Enter and file all necessary Maintenance work orders in an organized manner and follow up to close.
• Update database records with new information as it becomes available.
• Correct and modify inaccurate files and records.
• Enter data into appropriate fields, databases, records, and files.
• Transfer data from written records and paper formats to digital format.
• Handle Alphanumerical data accurately.
• Comply with security backups and regular checks to ensure data is saved and stored properly.
• Maintain updated systems for filing, inventory, and databases.
• Verify data by correctly checking and comparing source documentation
