Job summary

freshexpress is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate data in PRMS and support the Inventory department. This role involves daily cycle counting and managing data for packaging, film, condiments, raw materials, and finished goods.

The candidate should have strong communication, Excel skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including days, nights, and weekends as needed. Forklift certification is a plus and training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in food processing/packaging is preferred.
• Inventory control experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate inventory of Raw Materials, Packaging, Film, Condiments, and Finished Goods.
• Accurate data entry and file maintenance in PRMS.
• Follow proper documentation procedures per requirements.
• Interface with production, warehouse, scheduling, purchasing, etc.
• Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.
• Report Peco Inventory on schedule and explain variances.
• Maintain files for review.
• Communicate with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Transportation, Customer Service, and Logistics teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Food Safety Role & Responsibility:

As an individual, the incumbent must understand the Food Safety Statement, complete the required training, perform work assignments in accordance with training and display an acceptable level of competency with all Quality Assurance/Safety/Security policies and training requirements. Areas of food safety training will include, but are not limited to, GMP, HACCP, facility security, visitor policy and mandatory safety training. Some additional items will include: FIFO/FEFO.

The individual must also request additional and/or refresher training if he or she feels that it is needed to effectively perform requirements in specific areas of responsibility.

Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory data in PRMS and providing support as needed in the Inventory department. This requires daily cycle counting and inventory maintenance of: Packaging, Film, Condiments, Raw Materials, and Finished Goods.

Job Function Statements Essential Functions:

• 1.Timely and accurate inventory of Raw Materials, Packaging, Film, Condiments, and Finished Goods.
• 2.Accurate data entry and file maintenance in PRMS.
• 3.Follow proper documentation procedures in accordance to requirements and other company procedures.
• 4.Interface with production, warehouse, scheduling, purchasing, etc., as needed.
• 5.Inventory variance review, research, and explanation as needed. Also follow-up on findings of that research taking corrective action where appropriate. This also includes MUV research and reports as required or requested by the Accounting department or Inventory Supervision.
• 6.Report Peco Inventory as per established schedule, provide an explanation for any variances.
• 7.Maintain files so that they are readily available for review.
• 8.Communicate with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Transportation, Customer Service, and the Logistics Team on a regular basis (proactive communication and information sharing as needed).
• 9.Perform other duties as assigned.
