Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate and support inventory in a fast-paced facility. You will work on the warehouse floor with Reach Trucks and Order Pickers, performing packing, shipping, receiving, and routine audits.

This role features a second shift (Mon-Fri 2:30pm–10:30pm) with starting pay of $22.45 per hour plus a 6% shift differential and potential $200 monthly attendance bonus. Overtime may be required; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of facility or outside warehouse inventory experience.
• Ability to work overtime.
• Willingness to support Continuous Improvement projects.
• Good written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate specialized equipment such as Reach Trucks and Order Pickers.
• Meet equipment-specific efficiency targets.
• Inspect heavy equipment including sit-down fork trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists.
• Handle materials, fill orders, and pick/store parts and supplies.
• Coordinate with supervisor and team leads on inventory discrepancies.
• Perform inventory and receipt audits as directed.
• Train employees on processes.
