Job summary

Penske Logistics is seeking inventory clerks to join a safety-conscious, outgoing team in a warehouse environment. You will maintain inventory records, perform cycle counts, and use a WMS to resolve inventory issues, while handling returns and data accuracy.

This role requires attention to detail, basic office software skills, and reliable attendance. The position offers 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM) with a $23/hr base pay plus a $1.00/hr shift differential, plus a robust

Qualifications

• 2 years of general office experience preferred
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Advanced computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• Must have excellent attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• RF scanning system
• Must be approachable
• Willingness to work the required schedule and location
• Background check and drug screening required

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory records and ensures unit quantities are correct
• Match numbers and letters to components on pallets and locations
• Perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments
• Electronically scan products using a WMS to identify and verify inventory
• Identify damaged products and coordinate returns with vendors
• Report quality errors to supervisors and keep records
• Enter records using computer systems and maintain item attributes in WMS
• Complete daily audit logs for inbound and outbound
• Be on equipment up to 25% of shift
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Penske Logistics is looking for inventory clerks to become part of an excellent team. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are safety conscious and have a pleasant, outgoing attitude who want to excel in a warehouse environment. Responsible for the daily/weekly maintenance of inventory records, product adjustments, cycle counting reports, and the manipulation of accurate data. Track all returned product as directed by the customer for close out of returns from various customers and entities. Work inside a Warehouse Management System to research inventory problems.

Job Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory records, assuring unit quantities are correct
• Accurately match number and letters, assuring appropriate number of individual units or cases on a pallet, and in a pick location or stock location
• Perform cycle counts, 1st and 2nd level
• Perform inventory adjustments
• Electronically scan products using a WMS (warehouse management system), to identify, move and verify inventory
• Ensure damaged products are identified and removed when received, communicate with vendor for return authorization, keep and maintain damage records
• Report quality errors to supervisors
• Uses computer to enter records
• Uses WMS to set and maintain item attributes
• Complete daily audit logs, inbound and outbound
• Be on equipment up to 25% of shift
• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
