Job summary

Pexco is seeking an Inventory Clerk to maintain accurate records and support efficient movement of materials across the facility. You will perform cycle counts, verify part numbers, and use the ERP system to reconcile stock with physical inventory.

In this role you will handle forklift operations, organize inventory locations, and communicate discrepancies to the team while upholding FIFO practices and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the efficient movement, organization, and control of materials and finished goods throughout the facility. This role performs inventory transactions, cycle counts, material verification, and inventory reconciliation while working closely with Production, Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, and other departments to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods, and other company inventory.
  • Perform inventory transactions accurately and timely within the company’s ERP or inventory management system.
  • Conduct routine cycle counts and assist with scheduled physical inventories.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and communicate findings to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify inventory quantities, part numbers, and locations.
  • Maintain proper FIFO practices where applicable.
  • Monitor inventory locations to ensure materials are properly organized and identifiable.
• Material Handling & Organization
  • Assist with the movement and organization of materials throughout the facility.
  • Ensure materials and finished goods are placed in the correct designated locations.
  • Verify labels, quantities, and identification of materials during inventory movements.
  • Operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
  • Maintain clean, orderly, and accessible inventory areas.
  • Identify damaged, obsolete, or unidentified materials and communicate concerns to management.
• Inventory Accuracy & Documentation
  • Compare physical inventory to system records and research discrepancies.
  • Review inventory documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist with adjustments to inventory records as authorized.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory movements, counts, and adjustments.
  • Support efforts to improve inventory accuracy and reduce discrepancies.

Physical Demands

This position requires light to moderate physical effort, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Regularly requires standing, sitting, reaching, bending, walking, and moving about the facility.
