Job summary

Cencora in Kentucky is seeking an Inventory Associate to join our distribution team. The role is Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm with pay of $21.00 per hour (not including shift differential).

You will count bulk merchandise, adjust inventory levels, research discrepancies, and support internal and external customers. Responsibilities include processing returns, assisting with physical inventory, and aiding the Inventory Department with tasks like placing purchase orders and monitoring service

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and audit readiness.

  • Researches discrepancies related to inventory levels and documents findings.
  • Requests return authorizations, pulls product, packages and ships returns/recalls.

Job Details

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $21.00 per hour not including shift differential

Responsibilities
  • Accurately counts bulk merchandise in primary warehouse locations.
  • Performs appropriate adjustments on inventory levels.
  • Research discrepancies as it relates to inventory levels, as needed.
  • Requests return authorizations, pulls product, packages and ships returns and recalls.
  • Provides internal and external customer support.
  • Assists with physical inventory.
  • Develops and implements new processes and procedures when necessary.
  • Supports the Inventory Department with a variety of tasks such as placing purchase orders, writes narcotic blanks, monitors service levels and breaks down deals.
  • Complies with all appropriate policies, procedures, safety rules and DEA regulations.
  • Must be able to work overtime when necessary and participate in physical inventory.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.
Education

Requires completion of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Good mathematical skill
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to implement processes resulting in satisfactory audit practices
