Job summary

Kenco Logistics in Tennessee seeks an Inventory Clerk to maintain inventory accuracy in a distribution center, perform cycle counts, and manage system audits to support shipping and receiving demands. You will verify records against physical counts, report discrepancies, and assist with recalls, holds/releases, and quality programs.

Some sites may require additional duties such as regulatory compliance and SOP maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Familiar with ISO requirements preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Attention to detail and accuracy essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perpetual inventory and generate applicable inventory reports.
• Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits; monitor damaged product and provide reports to leadership.
• Verify clerical inventory records against physical counts; investigate discrepancies.
• Coordinate product recalls, holds/releases, recalls and returns as needed.
• May monitor pest control program if required at site.
• Ensure facility is inspection ready for SQFI, FDA or other customer needs; support quality management.

This position is responsible for reporting, physical inventory, and system audits and for utilizing the inventory management system to prepare and track materials and products in preparation for shipping and receiving demands to meet customer needs. Various sites may require additional support based on the nature of the business. This could include, but is not limited to, product holds/releases, recalls, and returns. In addition, specific practices and/or regulations may exist (i.e. food safety).FunctionsMaintain perpetual inventory of materials and products and generates applicable inventory reports.Perform daily cycle count activities and inventory audits and track and monitor all damaged product in inventory; provide necessary reports to leadership.Verify clerical inventory records against physical inventory counts; investigates and reports discrepancies.May coordinate product recalls, holds/releases, product infestation audits.May monitor pest control program if required at site.If responsible for quality functions:Ensure facility is inspection ready at all times (i.e. SQFI, FDA or other customer needs).Facilitates quality/regulated training and coordinates the sites quality management program.Maintains the sites quality management portal and may draft/revise site SOPs as needed.QualificationsHigh School or GED required; associate degree or two years of equivalent experience preferred.Minimum 2 years’ experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
