Job summary

OMG Inc. is seeking a Packing Operator to run automated and semi-automated packing lines for OEM roofing components. You will hand pack when required and ensure parts are packed to specification while following Kanban card requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math, good communication, and strong mechanical reasoning. You will work in a team environment, support safety procedures, and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated and semi‑automated packing machines according to specifications.
• Hand pack parts as needed to meet production demand.
• Follow Kanban card requirements and ensure quality during packing.
• Work as part of a team to deliver accurate, on‑time packing.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.

Position Overview

OMG currently operates in two Divisions: OMG Roofing Products and Fasten Master®. OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The Fasten Master Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. At OMG, we use safe machine operating processes, hand-packing techniques, and effective lean manufacturing principles to pack our products. This position routinely operates automated- and semi–automated machines to pack parts according to specifications and Kanban card requirements. The Packing Operator may also hand pack at times as product needs demand. The Packing Operator must be a team player and committed to delivering the best quality to our customers.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in high-noise areas and wear appropriate hearing protection devices.
• Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.
• Ability to use a hard tined rake to move/break apart parts frequently.
• The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50
