Target Specialty Products is seeking a diligent Buyer to manage branch inventory and coordinate cost-effective replenishment across a region. You will analyze forecasts, place POs, monitor open orders, and optimize buy/transfer decisions to align with forecast accuracy and working capital goals.

The role requires 2+ years in accounting or purchasing, strong communication, and proficiency with ERP systems. Immediate benefits are included for full-time colleagues with potential room for growth.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s Degree in relevant field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting and/or purchasing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Comfortable speaking with and presenting to individuals and small groups.
• Proficient computer skills: Microsoft, Google Suite, and ERP system operation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must pass pre-employment background screen.

Aufgaben

• Monitor and action the driven forecast. Work closely with sales and operations to maintain the forecast based on expected changes in demand.
• Manage branch-level inventory through maintaining pre-determined days on hand.
• Make buy/transfer decisions based on cost/economics and net working capital goals.
• Place purchase orders with vendors and follow up with the warehouse locations
• Place internal transfer order requests
• Monitor and maintain all open POs and transfers. Follow through to completion and communicate status with stakeholders
• Monitor and communicate vendor backorders/delays
• Maintain Purchasing e-mail queue
• Assist the purchasing manager with inventory and pricing discrepancies
• Help maintain vendor contracts in the system, i.e., new vendor pricing
• Assist with special projects as needed
• Provide pricing (quote) assistance to the Sales Service Managers and Sales Reps
• System pricing maintenance
• New SKU set up
