Job summary

Quantum Services, Inc. is seeking an Inventory Associate to join a 2–3 person regional team traveling to client stores across Northern Michigan to perform accurate physical inventory audits using handheld keypads.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with early starts around 7:00 AM; routes span up to 3–4 hours from Traverse City, and all drive time is paid at $22/hour.

Qualifications

Position Overview As an Inventory Associate, you will work as part of a supportive 2–3 person team traveling to client retail locations (convenience stores and gas stations) across Northern Michigan to perform accurate physical inventory audits using digital handheld keypads.

Schedule & Travel Realities

• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, averaging 36–42 hours per week.

• Early Morning Kickoffs: Audits start on-site at client locations at 7:0 AM.

• Paid Regional Commutes: Routes cover up to a 3- to 4-hour radius from the Traverse City hub (including Gaylord and surrounding areas). Depending on route distance, team departures range from 3:00 AM to 5:00 AM. All drive time is fully paid at $22/hr, and team carpooling is provided. Your schedule and departure times are visible in advance.

• Specialty Overnight Travel & Overtime Opportunities:

  • Mackinac Area Route: Approximately 4 weeks total per year (Monday–Friday overnights) servicing the Mackinac region.

  • Advance Notice: You will always receive 2 to 4 weeks’ advance notice so you can plan ahead.

  • 100% Covered: All hotel accommodations and travel expenses are company-paid.

  • Overtime Pay: Travel weeks frequently cross the 40-hour threshold. All hours worked over 40 in a workweek are automatically paid at Time-and-a-Half ($33.00/hour).

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately count inventory items on sales floors, stockrooms, walk-in coolers, and freezers using handheld keypads.

• Partner with store managers post-audit to review completed counts.

• Work collaboratively with your regional route team, sharing driving responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License, active auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation (participation in team driving/carpooling required).

• Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) screening.

• Physical Capabilities: Comfortable standing, bending, squatting, using short step-ladders, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in cool environments (walk-in coolers/freezers).
