Job summary

Northern Architectural Systems is seeking an inventory associate to support warehouse operations at our New Jersey facility. You will learn basic inventory controls, assist with receiving and distribution, and participate in cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and reliability. English/Spanish bilingualism is a plus, with training provided and benefits including health coverage, 401(k), PTO and employee development

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Learn how to keep basic inventory and do basic inventory counts.
• Learn how to deliver products to the lines.
• Assist with the receiving of stock items.
• Report any inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to the Hardware Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory organization, rotating of production goods and upkeep of empty glass racks as instructed.
• Assist with inventory labeling and location control to support FIFO and efficient material flow.
• Assist with the distribution of hardware/goods for assigned projects as instructed.

Overview:

Full-time position: Hours 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday - Friday) Overtime when needed and approved.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Learn how to keep basic inventory and do basic inventory counts.
• Learn how to deliver products to the lines.
• Assist with the receiving of stock items.
• Report any inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to the Hardware Supervisor in a timely manner.
• Assist with inventory organization, rotating of production goods and upkeep of empty glass racks as instructed.
• Assist with inventory labeling and location control to support FIFO (First In First Out) and efficient material flow.
• Assist with the distribution of hardware/goods for assigned projects as instructed.
• Prior data entry experience using inventory software.
• Must be hands-on and take initiative.
• Maintain organized and clean storage areas, racks and staging carts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Must have a willingness to learn
• The ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly
