For 30 years, SBi has served the communications needs of underserved rural communities and tribal lands in the southwest. Our cellular division, Cellular One, is a leading regional provider of mobile technology and wireless communications service operating a network of more than 250 cell sites covering 60,000 square miles.

The Inventory Assistant is responsible for the maintenance of the CellularOne phone inventory and related equipment and accessories. Accordingly, this position requires a working knowledge of inventory tracking software. Employees in this class must accept the physical aspects of moving phones and related accessories from one location to another. Persons in this class must possess strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accept all carrier deliveries to Warehouse 2 to 3 X per day. We receive for both Distribution Warehouses, Marketing, Special Services and IT.
• Pull Delivery Receipts from packages for Inventory and confirm contents. Notify other departments of deliveries received for them.
• After approved release - process the delivery: Pull PO to match up with delivery. Verify Cost and quantities.
• Record transaction date and # on PO. Keep all paperwork in a 'holding' file until Invoice is received - or - the invoice appears in Papersave for approval.
• Pull Cost Guard Reports by Location and prepare to fill all stores based on delivery schedule each week.
• Analyze and calculate quantities needed for each locations weekly sales based on a % of sold in the last 30 days.
• Pull Warehouse Inventory List to ensure sufficient quantities on hand to fulfill stores before entering transfers.
• Input transfer requests in CG for each location being fulfilled
• Sell out inventory to each store and package for delivery or package and prepare for UPS pick up for delivery
• Prepare and submit an Inventory analysis to Inventory Manager of all Inventory Received/Transferred to stores/ending Inventory each week

Additional Duties

• Monitor Papersave for invoices waiting for approval. Verify invoices with delivery receipts and Approve for Payment. If needed, print a copy of Invoice and attach to paperwork to complete the package.
• Perform an in-house handset inventory at least once a month. Note any discrepancies between actual counts and CG and research differences, if any.
• Backfill stores as needed when sales exceed prior history and deplete a specific item ~ and it is prudent to send out more product, usually via UPS
• Perform testing as necessary in Cost Guard Stage environment to verify that Inventory functions are correct on impending upgrades.
