Job summary

We are currently looking for an Inventory & Asset Specialist (2nd Shift) to join our dynamic, fast‑paced, and growing team. The Inventory & Asset Specialist is responsible for managing the inventory and distribution of consumables for Focus Factory. This position supports multiple departments within Focus Factory, ensures integrity of assets, and inventory management through data entry utilizing customer ERP software and provides reporting and logistical support, coordinating material availability to support operations ensuring accurate inventory records and efficient material flow.

This position is required to work 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 2:30am EST.)

What You Will Be Doing
  • Logistics
    • Coordinate movement of assets and inventory from receiving into Focus Factor
    • Enter inventory into Aticts (customer ERP).
  • Inventory Management
    • Create inventory #’s for items
    • Follow EBFF procedures for issuing wire and consumables and notify QA/Management of any issues.
    • Work closely with EBFF team to meet tool/wire and consumable needs.
    • Maintain accurate log of wire oven temperatures per customer procedures.
    • Maintain inventory/perform spot checks.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records of assets.
  • Equipment & Consumable Issuance and Return:
    • Issue welding wire/consumables, equipment to employees and record transactions.
    • Ensure return of wire and check weight and condition of wire per customer compliance procedures.
    • Coordinate with Equipment Control Center for repair and maintenance of tools and equipment that has been returned damaged.
    • Maintain ERP system for asset tracking.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure all tools and equipment meet safety standards.
    • Record any returned damaged or misused equipment as per Safety Standards and requirements to the Manager, Facilities & Logistics.
  • Record Keeping
    • Prepare and submit inventory level reports on tool and wire usage.
    • Utilize Aticts inventory management software to track and manage tools.
  • Customer Service
    • Support operational needs.
    • Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.
    • Ensure work is completed efficiently and per procedure.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

Your Background
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of previous warehousing, Naval Supply systems experience
  • Hazmat training
  • Inventory control experience in Industrial welding tool/consumable knowledge
  • Previous experience in inventory management, logistics in an industrial environment, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to provide problem solving solutions
  • Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
  • Must be a United States Citizen
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. Citizenship is a pre‑requisite)
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be self‑motivated
  • Requires a strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to handle a high degree of confidential and sensitive information and the ability to work at all levels within the organization
  • Must obtain OSHA 10 certification
The Work Environment At Rhoads
  • The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving in a truck
  • May require walking and standing on irregular, uneven surfaces in an industrial setting and possibly at increased heights climbing and descending ladders and ship stairways
  • The performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.
