Job summary

United Holdings is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Inventory Analyst to support inventory planning and balance product availability with responsible inventory investment. You will use demand, usage, inventory levels, lead times, and open orders to identify trends, prepare fact-based recommendations, and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business or Analytics; equivalent education/experience considered.
• 0–2 years in inventory, purchasing, supply chain, or data analysis preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, filtering, sorting, and calculations.
• Familiarity with inventory management concepts and demand planning.
• Willingness to learn Oracle and SAP Business Objects.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Min/Max inventory plans using historical sales, usage, inventory, and lead times.
• Review recommendations for accuracy and alignment with planning guidelines.
• Analyze inventory performance to identify stockouts, overstocks, or obsolescence.
• Create and run reports using Excel, Oracle, SAP BO and other tools.
• Collaborate with branch teams to evaluate inventory needs and support transfers.
• Review replacements, supersessions, and item relationships affecting demand history.
• Document findings and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Summarize findings and recommendations for management and partners.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Data Maintenance, Service Managers and others.
• Help reduce excess inventory through rebalancing, returns, and reserves.
• Develop SOPs and supporting documentation.
• Support process improvement, reporting automation, and data quality initiatives.
