Chicago Tube & Iron Company in Indianapolis, IN is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join our team. You will analyze inventory trends, collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Transportation and Operations, and help optimize stock levels to support exceptional customer service.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, with 3–5 years in metals or related industries, advanced Excel skills, and a bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of business-related experience within metals industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer forecasts and inventory trends to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Review purchase orders and coordinate transfer shipments between branch locations.
• Monitor aging inventory to maximize performance.
• Evaluate and process open POs for cancellation, delay, or expediting as needed.
• Support sales and assist with special projects as assigned.
• Collaborate with transportation/logistics to ensure timely material movement.
