Job summary

Chicago Tube and Iron Company in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking an Inventory Analyst to monitor and maintain optimal stock levels for both common and special inventory across the branch. The role requires strong analytical skills, advanced Excel, and the ability to collaborate with purchasing, transportation, and accounts to forecast demand, adjust stock, and ensure timely transfers.

Qualifications

3–5 years of business-related experience; metals industry preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in business-related field preferred.
Aggressive self-starter, goal-oriented, and a team player.
Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Review forecasts of major customers and take actions to ensure stock levels.
Review orders from Corporate Purchasing and transfer shipments between branches.
Manage aging inventory.
Monitor open POs for cancellations or moves; expedite as needed.
Determine if mill overages will be accepted and handle received overages.
Update stock screen memos and reserves.
Communicate effectively with transportation personnel.
Act as backup for Account Coordinators as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
