Job Summary

Provide support to Supply Chain Operations through analysis of cycle counted product

Required Education & Experience

• Courses in inventory control is an asset
• 3 - 4 years' experience in similar role; experience in automotive manufacturing environment
• Strong Coordination and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and problem solve issues from a variety of known options

Essential Functions / Competency Level

• Oversee Inventory control functions;
• Cycle counts WIP, Finished goods and Components based on ABC analysis, using the CMS cycle counting module, corporate standard for cycle counting.
• Monitor negative, low critical inventory daily
• Investigate Inventory Discrepancies, determine root cause and implement corrective actions
• Report Daily on inventory discrepancies
• Work with production and purchasing to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Take leadership role in quarterly physical inventories, organize and coordinate
• Provide direction to other employees to ensure accurate production reporting
• Ensure that raw materials and product are dispersed and consumed based on FIFO
• Responsible for backing up Material Planner and performing duties are required
• Contribute to continuous improvement, productivity, quality, customer service, cost reduction, safety and housekeeping
• Quantitative Measurements :

o Maintaining inventory accuracy of over 90%

• Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards and legislation including Environmental Legislation, O. Reg 851 for Industrial Establishments, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (with emphasis on Section 28, (1) (a)-(d), (2) (a)-(c))

Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to Health & Safety, Quality & Environmental Systems, HR policies and Martinrea Employee Handbook

Both office setting and production environment

Constant communication with employees

Overtime as required

Physical Demands

Ability to work on computer for long periods of time

Ability to be present on the production floor daily

Must use or wear PPE and certain clothing as required by the Company
