Job summary

Net2Source is seeking an Inventory Analyst to support day-to-day supply, inventory, and purchasing activities across our client's global supply chain. You will maintain material availability by monitoring supply strategies, executing site-to-site inventory balancing, and performing detailed inventory analysis.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in managing contract manufacturers, and comfortable working with data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, purchasing and inventory analysis.
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, basic data analysis).
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, etc.) preferred.
  • Basic understanding of supply chain and inventory concepts (lead time, safety stock, turns).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to execute repeatable processes accurately.
  • Good communication skills for working with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow through on commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Inventory Analysis & Reporting: Run recurring reports to track inventory levels, excess & obsolete (E&O), and shortages across global hubs.
  • Monitor inventory against targets (DOH, turns, safety stock) and flag variances to senior team members.
  • Evaluate supply plans to manage inventory balancing across sites prior to E&O reporting; maintain dashboards and data files with accurate information.
  • Perform root cause analysis on inventory imbalances (excess, shortages, slow-moving stock).
  • Support monthly inventory reviews by preparing data and highlighting key changes.
  • Provide data inputs for S&OP and supply reviews (inventory position, risks, gaps).
  • Track and report key metrics such as inventory turns, service levels, and aging.
  • Follow up on action items from planning and inventory review meetings.
  • Create and release purchase orders based on planning signals and guidance.
  • Expediting or de-expediting orders as needed.
  • Resolving delivery and quantity discrepancies.
  • Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve PO issues.
  • Work with Planning, Logistics, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Coordinate inbound shipments and update delivery status as needed.
  • Support Finance with basic PPV tracking and invoice discrepancies.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for inventory and purchasing activities.
  • Identify data issues or process gaps and elevate to management.
  • Support implementation of simple process improvements and data clean-up efforts.

We are seeking an Inventory Analyst to support day-to-day supply, inventory, and purchasing activities across our client's global supply chain. In this role, you will maintain material availability by monitoring supply strategies, executing site-to-site inventory balancing, and performing detailed inventory analysis. You will also ensure high data integrity through consistent reporting and manage the full purchase order lifecycle to secure on-time deliveries.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in managing contract manufacturers (CMs), and comfortable working with data. You should excel at executing standard operating procedures while continuously identifying opportunities for proactive process improvements.

Job Title: Inventory Analyst
Duration: 12 months with possible extension and potential conversion to full time
Pay Range: $80-82/hr on W2

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Analysis & Reporting

NOTES:

100% Onsite at the Houston office, local candidates only. Relocation not considered at this time.

Schedule:

8AM-5PM local time but should be flexible in case needed to coordinate with members of the larger global team
