Position Summary

We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Inventory Analyst with experience in data reporting and multi-system integration to support inventory operations across our veterinary clinics. This role is key to ensuring the accuracy and availability of critical veterinary supplies, pharmaceuticals, and financial health of the business through in-depth data analysis and reporting. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, a strong understanding of inventory processes, and the ability to work across different software platforms used in veterinary operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze inventory data from veterinary practice management systems (e.g., Cornerstone, Avimark), pharmacy ordering systems, and warehouse platforms
  • Develop Excel-based reports and dashboards to monitor clinic-level and network-wide inventory usage, costs, and margins
  • Forecast demand for medications, vaccines, lab supplies based on clinic usage trends and seasonal patterns
  • Identify inventory discrepancies and provide root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with clinic managers and inventory team to improve ordering accuracy and reduce waste
  • Support cycle counts, stock audits, coupon audits, and inventory reconciliations across multiple clinic locations
  • Monitor expiration dates, usage rates, and storage requirements for sensitive veterinary products
  • Assist in standardizing product catalogs and SKUs across platforms
Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in inventory analysis, preferably in a multi-location healthcare or veterinary setting
  • Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, formulas, Power Query, macros, dashboards)
  • Experience working with veterinary-specific software and/or ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize and present data to both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with veterinary inventory workflows, controlled substance handling, and ordering systems (e.g., Covetrus, MWI, Patterson)
  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for advanced reporting
  • Prior experience supporting multiple veterinary or medical clinics
  • Veterinary technician or healthcare operations background is a plus
