Job summary

DTLR, Inc. in Hanover, MD is seeking a dedicated Allocator to plan and analyze inventory, forecast sales, and ensure timely merchandise flow to stores. This role requires strong merchandising and analytical skills, and the ability to work cross-functionally with Allocation and Buying teams.

You will optimize stock levels, maintain assortments, and support store needs while collaborating with the Allocation Manager. A company stipend 401K plan is included.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma and 2+ years of retail experience in allocations or equivalent in-store experience.
• Strong merchandising, analytical, and communication skills are required.
• Ability to plan, organize, and work cross-functionally with teams including Buying and Allocation.

Responsibilities

• Analyze trends, store performance and customer profiles to allocate merchandise appropriately.
• Maximize stock levels while maintaining inventory flow and store stock position.
• Maintain proper category assortment by store.
• Ensure sufficient quantities of advertised product are in stock per store.
• Set up and maintain min/max parameters for store inventories.
• Maximize inventory productivity through quantity and timing allocations.
• Collaborate with Allocation Manager to understand product mix and assortment.
• Communicate with stores and operations to learn requirements and opportunities.
• Resolve allocation and inventory inquiries with distribution centers.
• Identify growth opportunities with Buying groups and optimize assortments per store needs.
