Job summary

DHL Germany is seeking aTransportation Planner to support the planning function by allocating orders to warehouses and resolving inventory issues. The role requires collaboration with order managers and customer service to adjust orders as needed and to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ years computer experience.
• 2+ years using MS Office Programs and email.

Responsibilities

• Allocate delivery orders to be managed or processed by loading warehouses.
• Identify and address inventory issues by coordinating with order managers or customer service representatives.
• Act as a liaison to facilitate issue resolution.
• View and address inventory issues using appropriate computer programs.
• Verify inventory stocks are accurate in warehouse management systems via communication with order managers and loading warehouses.
• Maintain strong written/verbal communication with sites, order managers, customer service representatives and transportation planners.
• Plan and allocate orders to prevent unwanted inventory cuts.
• Know products and relationships with order managers to source sub products during deficiencies.
• Contact appropriate customer service representatives when inventory levels cannot be met.
• Coordinate with transportation planners to schedule appropriate load times to meet delivery requirements.
• Notify customer’s management in cases where orders need deleted or cancelled.
• Document deficiencies related to orders and escalate to appropriate representatives.
• Follow assigned work instructions and processes for delivery creation planning.
