Job summary

Dover Corporation’s PSG division seeks a detail‑oriented Material Handler / Inventory Accuracy Specialist for the 2nd shift in Grand Rapids, MI. You will manage both physical inventory movements and computer‑based tracking to ensure accuracy.

Responsibilities include material movement, data logging, cycle counts, and peer training as needed. A valid forklift license, basic math, and precision are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Excellent reading, writing, documentation and basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Job Title: Material Handler / Inventory Accuracy Specialist (2nd Shift)
Compensation: $28.00 per hour
Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (2nd Shift)

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and licensed forklift operator to manage both the physical movement and computer‑based tracking of our inventory. This role requires a balance of hands‑on warehouse work and precise data entry.

Core Responsibilities
  • Material Movement: Move physical inventory, load/unload delivery trucks, and consolidate orders to prepare them for shipment.
  • System Transactions: Complete all necessary software and barcode database entries to accurately log transferred, accepted, or rejected materials.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain inventory accuracy by executing regular cycle counts, operating industrial scales, and filing scrap reports.
  • Daily Receiving: Oversee physical and transactional receiving activities to ensure inward bound materials are accurately logged.
  • Team Training: Participate in and lead peer training as operational demands require.
Basic Skill Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Ability to execute digital barcode transactions and navigate standard computer technologies.
  • Inspection & Measurement: Proficiency in reading blueprints and properly operating measuring and inspection equipment.
  • License Requirements: Possession of a valid fork truck / forklift license.
  • Core Academics: Strong reading, writing, documentation, and basic math skills.
  • Precision: High attention to detail and precision.
  • Testing: Ability to pass a proficiency test verifying the above technical and math skills.
