Job summary

PSG is seeking a Machine Specialist for the 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 7:00 am) in Grand Rapids, MI. The role requires reading CNC programs, gauges and inspecting parts, performing minor PM, and keeping accurate production records.

You will set up and operate multiple machines, make tool offsets, and handle shipments as needed. Applicants should pass proficiency tests, have basic math and computer skills, and be comfortable using hand tools.

Qualifications

• Read and understand CNC program language and pass proficiency tests.
• Basic math skills and ability to read/write documentation.
• Use inspection instruments and perform minor PM on equipment.
• Operate machines per work instructions and track setup times.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate all machines according to work instructions.
• Inspect parts, adjust tool offsets in CNC programs, document times.
• Perform minor PM, repair fixtures and tooling when needed.
• Unpack, wash, repack shipments; participate in tech cell and job shop tasks.
• Provide training as required.

Position Available:Machine Specialist

Shift / Hours:3rd Shift - 11:00 pm - 7:00 am

Pay range:$29.86 - $32.86 (depending on experience) plus$1.00 shift premium

Basic Skill Requirements:

• Read and understand CNC program language.
• Must pass proficiency tests.
• Read and write.
• Basic Math Skills.
• Use Inspection instruments.
• Minor (Preventative maintenance) "PM" on equipment.
• Basic computer/technology skills.
• Use basic hand tools to perform minor PM on equipment.

Job Description:

• Performs proper set-ups & operates all machines according to the work instructions provided.
• Inspects & gauges parts per work instructions. Makes tool offsets in CNC program as needed.
• Performs minor PM on equipment as required. Tracks & documents hourly production and set-up times as required. Maintain accurate records.
• Repairs on fixtures & tooling.
• Unpacks, washes & repacks shipments as required. Includes tech cell & job shop assignments.
• Trains as required.
