Department: DPH Cath Lab

Status: Full-Time

Shift: Four 10-hour shifts Monday - Friday | *On-Call Required*

About DPH Cath Lab

The Cath Lab features four suites with specialized uses, including interventional radiology, electrophysiology, and STEMI/multipurpose procedures. Equipped with pre/post procedural bays and monitoring capabilities, supporting high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

Performs diagnostic imaging and procedures for cardiovascular diagnosis and intervention, ensuring patient safety, quality imaging, and support for physicians.

  • Assess patient condition, provide education, and ensure safety and comfort
  • Accurately document clinical history and verify records
  • Position patients and manipulate technical factors for optimal imaging
  • Apply radiation protection principles
  • Monitor physiological and hemodynamic data during procedures
  • Support physicians as a scrub assistant and demonstrate aseptic technique
  • Evaluate post-procedure hemostasis and ensure efficient case turnover
  • Participate in quality initiatives and be a superuser of clinical systems
Qualifications

Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent, with specific certifications based on discipline (CVT, RRT, CRT, R.T.(R), Paramedic)

Licensure/Certification: Current BLS and ACLS, and relevant certifications such as RCIS, RCES, RRT, CRT, R.T.(R), or NREMT-P, with state licensure as applicable

Experience: Minimum 1 year in a Cardiac Catheterization lab
